Sure, it has a Mitsubishi badge on the front, but it’s really a Mazda Bongo. The dually, cabover minivan of my dreams. Gimme.

Here’s the Mazda version.
And here’s an OG Bongo.

But can I get you interested in a Kia Bongo?

And here’s how I’ve come to know them. With a large front bumper.
And the Ford version, which was also apparently sold in Europe as I somewhat recently learned.

Looking at this model, I bet I must’ve mistook it for a Mitsubishi Delica at some point.

Oh, I know. I’m still a Vanagon enthusiast, so I am familiar with boxy vehicles that are rather unsatisfying to drive. I like the idea of that Bongo but could never see myself acquiring one. Between my current Mazda5 6MT and the future Vanagon Westfalia I want I should be all set van-wise.

Fun fact: we actually got the Bongo in the US... kinda.
The first-gen Kia Sportage was a Bongo underneath.
